Through the wall AC units (sometimes called wall sleeve) are designed in a similar fashion to window types. The primary difference between the two is that these are manufactured to be installed through an exterior wall and use a chassis wall sleeve for support. In most situations these AC components are capable of being installed relatively flush with your wall in order to provide an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Through the wall AC options are an energy efficient way to cool your living room, bedroom, or office. In fact, most new models come with many modes and convenient energy-efficient features.
We've already mentioned the through the wall AC housing design differences but they also differ in their ability to provide cooling and the weight of the component. Through wall AC systems will usually deliver a greater cooling capacity than window models and weigh a little more.
A through-the-wall air conditioner is going to be an excellent choice for cooling a room that doesn't have a window. But they are also a very attractive option when you just don't want to give up your window in a room.
